a better question is why democrats don't get wise and come up with their own talking points, first. there is absolutely no coordination because no one speaks for the left, so the Dems have no clear message and never will until we dispense with the notion that liberal is a dirty word or a background to run away from. progressives need to look in the mirror and recognize their whereabouts. we ain't in the center people. the dominance of the main stream media is self evident. whenever possible democrats should seize the initiative by being provocative in the first instance in the national media, or simply STFU. This is an excellent reason why the Dems need to swing to the left and leave the DLC and the rest of the centrists (Clinton, Kerry, Biden, etc.) far behind.
