consider, from the perspective of those that put him in office, w has been a huge success. he could be impeached tomorrow and those who paid for his presidency would still be ahead of their bargain. they've made so much money on oil price increases and the conditions are so perfect for the continued ascent of big oil that I'm surprised W hasn't gotten the same deal the retiring head of exxon just got. the crime has already occurred; the only purpose of bush's administration now is to stay out of criminal jeopardy and look like that's not all he's still trying to do.

Since the tread is dead, I came over here to say, "Well said!" I've had the same thoughts, but you put them very succinctly.
Rove will let Bush drift further down and concentrate on supporting the republican's running in 2006 because if they lose the house the Democrats get supeona power.
But their is no penality for Bush getting lower in the polls. '
What are they going to do? Fire him. He can go to 22 and still keep the office unless he is convicted of some impeachable offence.

As for this little debacle, the 'role models' for these kids are every celebrities in every gun movie that was ever made in the States.
Violence (the right to bear arms) is sewn into your society by your Constitution.
If these kids didn't live in a society where violence was glorified and a range of ferocious weapons freely available, they wouldn't be where they are now.
