a heckuva month personally

careening from one near crisis to the next, a study in discordance.

i shall scrub the ground clean"

that should solve everything

Frist to cut out the hearts of the sentient

Frist said that remaining in the Senate would make a presidential run impossible. Frist plans to step down when his second term ends this year.

"I will have to really work hard on it," Frist said. "As a surgeon, I did my best work when people were sound asleep, cutting out their hearts, putting new hearts in.

"And now what I need to do, everybody says, is do your best work and not put people to sleep. That's what I'll work on."

So, presumably cutting out the hearts of the fully conscious will be a central theme of the cat killer's presidential campaign.

wiiiaai

The last Bush speech of the current cycle, and the weakest. First, he put blame for the crapfest in Iraq on Saddam Hussein. “[M[uch of the animosity and violence we now see is the legacy of Saddam Hussein. He is a tyrant who exacerbated sectarian divisions to keep himself in power.” He explained, in the manner of a 4th-grade oral report, “Iraq is a nation with many ethnic and religious and sectarian and regional and tribal divisions.”

todd is my favorite artist, ever; this is known to the legal foibles entourage

Now I lay me down to sleep
I'm praying Lord my soul to keep
If I die before I wake
Somebody make a big mistake
I'm only just one little man
Just usin' up the air
Still I'm askin' anyway
Lord when I pray, please be there
Lord when I pray, please be there
Singin' om om my god, please be there
You know I'm just like all my kind
I got a weak and confused mind
When I feel a little pain
You know how I love to complain
But I try to be strong
I try hard to lift my share
I don't expect for nothing
But Lord when I pray, please be there
Now I sing for you

from bad to worse

we haven't learned a thing, so I fully expect that things will deteriorate rapidly over the next few months in iraq. i expect that reprisals against our military by shiite forces backed by teheran shall be used to justify war with Iran.

ExxonMobil hearts greenpeace

Two years ago, Public Interest Watch challenged Greenpeace's tax-exempt status and accused the group of money laundering and other crimes. According to the Journal, tax records show more than 95 percent of the funding of Public Interest Watch was provided by the oil giant ExxonMobil.

no heart? hmmmm. the shakedown defines the crime. the light of day shows the way back for all who survive.

Shakedown Street

You tell me this town ain't got no heart
(Well, well, well, you can never tell)
The sunny side of the street is dark
(Well, well, well, you can never tell)
Maybe that's 'cause it's midnight (note 1
And the dark of the moon besides
Maybe the dark is from your eyes
(Maybe the dark is from your eyes)
Maybe the dark is from your eyes
(Maybe the dark is from your eyes)
Maybe the dark is from your eyes
(Maybe the dark is from your eyes)
You know you got such dark eyes

Chorus
Nothing shaking on Shakedown Street
Used to be the heart of town
Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart
You just got to poke around

You think you've seen this town clear through
(Well, well, well, you can never tell)
Nothing here could interest you
(Well, well, well, you can never tell)
It's not because you missed out
On the thing that we had to start
Maybe you had too much too fast
(Maybe you had too much too fast)
Maybe you had too much too fast
(Maybe you had too much too fast)
Maybe you had too much too fast
(Maybe you had too much too fast)
And just overplayed your part

[chorus]

Since I'm passing your way today
(Well, well, well, you can never tell)
I just stopped in 'cause I want to say
(Well, well, well, you can never tell)
I recall your darkness
When it crackled like a thunder cloud
Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart
(Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart)
Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart
(Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart)
Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart
(Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart)
I can hear it beat out loud

debunking

the canard that the media is to blame for the perception that things aren't going well in Iraq. Setting up the tale to blame anti war protestors and the media, just like Viet Nam. It's never the fault of the missile heads when their violence only makes things worse. They have never gotten over Viet Nam because they were permitted to even float the idea that the anti war left tied the military's hands. Well they've had their way: the republicans have shown what their leadership will continue to produce. Don't let them kid you into placing the blame elsewhere. It's their war, their loss.

katherine harris implosion continues

She sounds like a prisoner who found God. It's "so not like" her. Her last and best advisor is "'Dr. Dale,' as she is known among campaign staffers, describes herself as a licensed clinical pastoral counselor who counsels in behavior temperament, career, crisis and disaster, among other things."

Presumably the "other things" are how to get a good foundation, and how important that can be to one's make up. Also, how to determine one's "good side." How to look pious while asking for money. How to appear chaste whilst fondling the balls of the intended victim, etc., etc.

"Whatever It Is, I’m Against It

"...another stupid comment out of Antonin Scalia’s mouth. Newsweek reports that Fat Tony called the idea of proper hearings for Guantanamo detainees “crazy.” “Give me a break,” he added. “War is war,” he said, using that keen logic for which he is known. He mentioned the totally irrelevant fact that his son served in Iraq and “they” were shooting at him. “If he was captured by my army on a battlefield, that is where he belongs.”"

FAT TONY IS A PUTZ. LAW SCHOOL SHOULD BE FOR SMART PEOPLE.
